Promoting Inclusion, Dignity, and Equal Opportunities for Children with Disabilities.
We work with children, families, and communities to make inclusive education and social inclusion a reality in Uganda.
We believe every child—regardless of ability—has the right to learn, participate, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
Hope for Inclusion Uganda is a community-based organization committed to promoting inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunities for children and youth with disabilities, with a strong focus on inclusive education and community empowerment.
We believe that every child—regardless of ability—has the right to learn, participate, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment. Disability should never be a barrier to education, opportunity, or a joyful childhood.
Our work is rooted in lived experience and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children with disabilities, particularly deaf and hard-of-hearing learners in mainstream and inclusive schools.
Through inclusive education support, sign language training, disability advocacy, psychosocial and child welfare programs, and skills development initiatives, we work closely with schools, families, communities, and stakeholders to create sustainable and meaningful change.
A society where children and youth with disabilities are fully included, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
To promote inclusive education, protect the rights of children with disabilities, and empower individuals, families, and communities through advocacy, capacity building, psychosocial support, and sustainable skills development.
Creating inclusive communities where no child is left behind, and every child is seen, heard, supported, and valued.
Everyone belongs and deserves equal access to opportunities and services.
We uphold the inherent worth of every individual with compassion and respect.
We partner with families, schools, and communities to create sustainable solutions.
Removing barriers to learning and promoting quality inclusive education.
We operate with transparency, responsibility, and ethical conduct.
Restoring hope, joy, and opportunity for vulnerable children.
Hope for Inclusion Uganda was born out of both lived experience and a deep conviction that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported—regardless of ability.
Growing up, I witnessed and experienced the impact of vulnerability, limited resources, and the quiet struggles many children face behind closed doors. Later, as a teacher working in government primary schools, I came face to face with the realities of so-called inclusive education— where children with disabilities, especially deaf and hard-of-hearing learners, are enrolled in mainstream schools but lack meaningful access to learning due to communication barriers, limited resources, and inadequate support systems.
These experiences shaped my purpose.
I founded Hope for Inclusion Uganda to bridge the gap between policy and practice, between enrollment and true inclusion. Our work is driven by the belief that inclusion is not simply placing a child in a classroom—it is ensuring that the child can learn, participate, belong, and thrive.
Beyond education, I am deeply passionate about restoring dignity, joy, and hope to vulnerable children and their families. Through psychosocial support, child welfare initiatives, skills development, and community engagement, we aim to address not only educational barriers but also the emotional, social, and economic challenges faced by children with disabilities.
Hope for Inclusion Uganda is more than an organization— it is a commitment to walking alongside children, families, educators, and communities to create a society where no one is left behind.
I am grateful to our partners, volunteers, and supporters who share this vision. Together, we can build inclusive communities where every child is valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
Join us in creating inclusive communities where every child matters.
